Hey whats up guys? I was wondering if anyone here has lifted while going on a long term fast?
I know not to lift heavy weights. Dont really plan on it, was going to do mostly bodyweight workouts during this period. Im also not overly concerned with muscle loss because at most I am going to do this for 25 days max.
I’ll workout everyday during an extended fast. Often it’s the highlight of my day, the peaceful feeling I experience afterwards is almost transcendent.
Be sure to listen to your body regarding the intensity. Sometimes I can go just as hard as if I wasn’t fasting, and sometimes it’s a very mellow light session.
I’ll try time my workout for when I’d ordinarily be eating dinner. I’ve found its a good way to pass the dead time and reduce rumination on not consuming during this period.
