Long term NSAIDS while fasting, how do you minimize breaking your fast?

I’m thinking of trying out IF to help with PCOS and weight loss. But I’m on naproxen that I’m taking daily for chronic pain. It’s a twice daily med and I really don’t want to get GI ulcers by taking it on an empty stomach. I know it’s not technically a fast if I do this, but does anyone take the medication with an apple or something low calorie just to have something in their stomach? I imagine an apple would still be different than a full breakfast in terms of its effect on insulin.

What would you suggest, or do you think I shouldn’t try fasting at all? Also lol please don’t tell me my pain will disappear with fasting (yes I’ve had people tell me that in real life).

On the Fasting Method Podcast I believe they’ve mention taking chia seeds or psyllium husks in water as way to take medication that should be taken with food while fasting. Check out episode #32 (or other episode list chia seeds as a topic).
