Long time listener, first time faster.... Water fasting vs. Master Cleanse?

Hey friends, just passed my 1st 24 hours. I’ve been thinking about doing the “master cleanse” for years, but always gave up after a day. That includes drinking a mixture of cayene, maple syrup and lemon mixed with your water. It supposedly removes toxins from your body that have been stored in your system. Buuuut you have to take a laxative every night, then every morning you spend a long time in the bathroom.. Wondering if anyone who has water fasted has also tried the “master cleanse” and can talk of their experience. Thanks reddit!!

Water fasting takes care of all of that for you buddy… Lookup autophagy and water fasting. You can’t get better than the FACT that every single cell in your body will clean house (yes including toxins) out of your body… That process cannot be improved further!!! No way, no how. If however you suspect that you may have some intestinal blockage for whatever reason (and even that will be remedied during the fast.. just takes longer), I would suggest a salt flush after the last meal you eat prior to fasting. This way, you begin the water fast with a relatively clean(empty) intestine!!! <— this is kinda like how Cities make sure their major storm drains are unhindered prior to every “rainy season”.

Master cleanse is horse shit. I did it as a challenge with my friend and I won because he hated maple syrup after day 2.

3 days or less: Water.

4 days or more add: Sodium Chloride. Potassium Chloride.

14 days or more add: Sodium Bicarbonate. Magnesium Glycinate.

Optional if you want to experiment: Lemon juice. Apple Cider Vinegar.
