Long vs Short Fasts

Can you essentially fast until you’re lean? Like a two week-30 day fast fast –> Reach your goals –> Shift to OMAD ! Thoughts?

If someone has a long road ahead, I understand why consistency is key…but I find rolling fasts SO tough. To start over every other or every few days is a routine I can’t get into but I also just want to lose 10% body fat (starting at 5’, 112lbs, 25%). I could see me reaching my goals via a month fast but should I be concerned about health complications?

Based on what cole says….. If you have fat on your body, you’re good to keep fasting essentially?

Answer

I think it boils down to whatever works for you - if you can actually complete a fast of that length and then transition successfully to OMAD with 48s thrown in, then go for it. I remember him saying that a lot of people end up knocking out longer fasts but because they haven’t established discipline when it comes to refeeds, they often gain the weight back.
