Looking for a macro calculator, do you know of one?

Hello,

I’m trying to find a macro calculator online. I’m having no luck. I’m not looking for the standard ones you find all over the place, you know the BMI calculators, or the ones that just tell you how many calories you should be eating based on your age/height/weight/gender.

What I’m looking for is one where you can tell it your total number of calories you need in a day, tell it what ratios you want of fat/carbs/protein, and then enter the nutrition label info for the food items you’re working with and have it come back with the amounts of each food type you’ll need to eat in a day. Anyone know if something like this exists? Either it doesn’t or I don’t know how to word it right to find it using Google. I do know how to figure it out just using a regular calculator but it can get kind of complicated and I’m not even sure my method is spot-on (I’m sure it’s not).

Thanks!

There are several apps that can do this, most of them being fitness and weight loss based. I tried LoseIt for a bit when I was trying to gain weight with muscle. It was great for tracking and scanning barcodes or just filling in with homemade foods by adding in your ingredients. It is exclusively focused on losing weight not gaining, so it wasn’t perfect for me, but it was still helpful for tracking what my macros were (it was free and that was my main thing). There are paid platforms that are more predictive for your goals though - My Fitness Pal is one that I thought looked good but haven’t used. If you check the app store you can just search “Macro Tracker” and get quite a lot of results. Good luck!
