Looking for book recommendations

Anyone have book recommendations for fasting or low carb or just general healthy eating?

I often have trouble starting or staying eating healthy, but one of things I notice more and more lately is how much BETTER I feel when I eat well. Often my biggest motivation is weight loss (which is still a big goal), but I also want to focus my mind more on treating my body well. “My body is temple” kind of stuff. I need to shift the way I treat my body and shift a bit away from emotional eating too.

Any recommendations to help me get in the mood for longterm goals? To trade off the short term goodness of a sugar rush with the long term goodness of waking up full of energy and happiness?

I’m not crazy into fluff or super rah rah cheerleading. Not too technical either, but a little science is fine.

Anyone have books (or possibly podcasts) that helped shape their attitude to weight loss? Or cemented their motivation? What changed your relationship with food?

This book is terrific. Easy read, super interesting and actually gets into why some foods cause us so many problems with weight and health and others don’t. Highly recommend. Don’t be scared by the title.

The Dorrito Effect, The Hungry Brain, Dr. Jason Fung “The Obesity Code”. These three books helped me to view in the food, mostly super-processed different. Now I understand why I want it and it’s so much easier to not follow my cravings. Yes, I’m not perfect, but I’m so much better.
