Looking for some advice regarding fasting

I’ve been trying to lose weight for years but have struggled. I currently exercise several times a week but on the food side of things, I’m not sure how to approach it.

I tend to order takeaways a lot but I’ve managed to cut that out recently. Most of the day I’m not eating much then snacking at night. Would fasting be a good way to lose weight alongside exercise? Should I fast for a couple of weeks straight or go the intermittent fasting route?

Answer

Yes, fasting is a great way to lose weight (besides other health benefits) and exercise only amplifies it.

Being blunt, before starting you should understand how fasting works. This is so you can understand its limitations and avoid problems. I recommend reading Fung’s book The Obesity Code. Then start doing 16/8, 20/4, OMAD, etc.
