Looking to see what I’m doing wrong

Hi all, I really need some advice from the group. I have been IF for almost a month. Have been working out 5 days a week with YouTube videos and making sure I do at least 30-45 mins each day, incorporated strength training as well. Food wise I have been eating clean for the whole month and today I check my weight again a month since I started and NOTHING has changed.

I am out of my wits end thinking what the hell am I doing wrong.

In addition to the other good advice here, I will say that you need to track measurements, not just weight. Exercise, especially if you are supplementing, can move water into the muscles, causing weight gain even though fat loss might still be happening. Get a tape measure, and maybe a smart scale, and start using them.

I went to the gym today for a VO2 max and RMR test and saw several dudes that were all 250 pounds plus…and none of them were obese, because they all looked like they were named Magnus McMuscle. Weight doesn’t mean unhealthy.

Have you been checking your weight frequently? Or did you avoid the scale for a whole month and then check it?

Cheap home scales can have significantly different results if they’ve been moved or haven’t been calibrated in a long time. The most effective method is to keep the scale in the same place, calibrate it, and weigh yourself at the same time in the same clothes every day. Then take a weekly average to see how your weight is changing over time, since there can be significant fluctuations from day to day.
