Loose Arms, Thighs, and Stomach

Hi! I have been on a fasting journey for a couple of years now, which started with the keto diet. From keto, I learned of Dr Fung and through rolling water fasts with keto based refeeds, I’ve been able to drop from 210 lbs to around 145 lbs (5’4” female).

I feel that i still have 20 lbs to go and am wondering if anyone has personal experience with dry fasting really helping them tone up. My inner thighs and my arms are quite flabby - it is my dream to be tight and toned.

Is it worth the extra prep to do dry fasting for this purpose ?

I lost a lot of weight through dry fasting with carnivore refeeds. Didn’t get the loose skin.

Back in the days when I was inexperienced and still believing I could make it through CICO I looked horrible. Then I tried low-carb/water fast and my body was a tiny bit better but definitely not looking toned.

I think that dry fasting + carnivore refeeds is the one way that actually got me to lose all that weight without suffering the typical loose skin everywhere.

I did dry fast for long periods of time 4 to 8 days and kept my refeeds short. ( 1 or 2 days ) I don’t really believe you get enough from 1 - 2 days of fasting.

I think fasting is supposed to get you more toned anyway than regular weight loss diets, since (if I understood it correctly) some excess protein and stuff is used in the process, the autophagy, cells renewed faster. However, I think intermittant fasting is the best for this so you sort of get a steady weight loss + autophagy flow rather than a lot at the same time. And I also think some food/imbalances in nutrients/remaining health issues or hormonal imbalances can complicate stuff.

I have also been wondering something similar considering I have a rope/string cut in the length of my stomach when starting “dieting” (water fasting and keto), measured now -15kg later and just after finishing a fast (so not much in the stomach yet), it still shifts between +/- 0 to -4 cm around the stomach, pretty much nothing. What happens is that the belly and thigh fat feels softer when I have done a fast or lost weight, it does not go away. Really annoying :P
But I still got hopes for it getting better eventually if I lose even more weight, very much possible it is hormonal though.
