Hey all, I have had amazing success with IF and exercise, Started in the fall of 2021 and have lost just over 150lbs. I am absolutely in love with my progress but am now a little sad that I have loose and sagging skin specifically around the stomach/belly. Arms and legs have remained solid with exercise. I am just wondering what people have done (non surgically) to help with loose skin. I have read doing 1-2 day fasts can help with autophagy. Is there any supplement or exercise that can also help? Going to the Caribbean at the end of march and would love to be confident on the beach lol.
Thanks in advance!
Yeah, try ADF, alternate day fasting. 36:12 or 42:6. Or try 72 hour fasts. My weight loss sped up, but so did skin tightening.
70 pounds lighter I do have loose skin, but I plan on keeping up with ADF (as long as I stay a healthy weight) to keep the skin tightening.
I’m about 1 year in. I’m giving it another year.
Fantastic job, and congratulations on all of your hard work and weight lost!!!
Fasting seems to help many people with loose skin through autophagy, where the body scraps old and damaged cells to conserve energy when fasting, and then uses the nutrition when you resume eating to create new, healthy cells.
Unfortunately the process is not speedy enough to take care of a lot of loose skin in two months, but it could give you some progress.
I hope you have a fantastic vacation!
