Hello. Ive been dieting at a 400 calorie deficit for about 70 days. I dropped 26 pounds during this period which I understand is likely water weight. I have just started intermittent fasting on a 16/8 schedule and I’m suddenly dropping 0.7-1.1 pounds a day and I’m just curious if this is common when beginning intermittent fasting and if l should begin increasing my calories now that I have changed my eating schedule.

While it’s not uncommon to lose a lot at the start, yeah something odd is certainly going on. That initial 400 calories cut from maintenance for 70 day should only account for like 8 lbs of loss. What’s your total calories a day?
I’m 6’2” around that weight as well, so I’m pretty familiar with it. It’s not like you even have a lot to lose.
