Losing inches but no weight (≠ muscle gain)

16:08 IF and no exercices/training - I am visibly shrinking but my scale still gives me the same weight.

How is this possible?

Just embrace it. I’m having the same thing happen. I’m down 9 pounds in a month but that often bounces back to only 4-5 pounds on the scale for a bit. However I see it in my face and clothes fitting every day. That’s more important to me than a fluctuating number.

With IF it allows your body to use stored energy on the body like body fat and glycogen in the liver, but you do still need to eat when its eating time so definitely eat. Bro-science that got me into IF years ago says you could eat whatever you want, I sort of believe in that because I follow the IIFYM (if it fits your macros) style of diet as long as Im consuming adequate protein the other macronutrients would fall into place.

But again its bro-science that got me into bodybuilding for fun years ago, made it to a four and a half pack of abs and got the job done.

Here I am in 2023 giving it a go before I hit 40 and that part about it is motivating me to push myself and get better and all that shit. Hey, hope some of this helps.
