Low body temp while fasting: anyone try LDN?

I read an animal study that said blocking certain opiate receptors in the hypothalamus kept your body from lowering your temperature in response to fasting, and that low dose naltrexone did an OK job blocking those receptors. Keeping your body temperature up while fasting makes the fasting more effective for weight loss. Has anyone tried this? How did it go for you?

I’d be hesitant to go into medication for something that you just want to optimize. Pretty harmless overall. But expensive and still loaded with risks. Also, you defeat the sense of accomplishment if you’re relying on medicine. Doing these things independent of medication, and all by your own power of mind is a better and more sustainable way forward. According to me that is.

I haven’t tried it for fasting but I did try it to help my thyroid. Took it for a year and noticed no difference in any of my symptoms. Took a break and then tried it again and the next time it sent me hyper so must have started working. The issue is getting hold of it. You have to find a Dr to prescribe it and a compounding pharmacy to make it
