Lower calorie aternatives for olive oil

Is there an alternative to olive oil for greasing pans with lower calories? I made an omelet this morning and was calculating the calories as I was going and thought I was doing really well until I had to grease the pan with 60 calories ( half a tablespoon) of olive oil! It wasn’t even enough oil to stop my omelet from sticking completely but I didn’t want to use a full 120 calorie tablespoon.

Answer

Can look for a spray like others suggested, but also remember how good olive oil is for you and it’s okay to eat some! I understand when counting calories you want to shave off where you can, but making sure you get enough healthy fats in your diet (like olive oil) is important, too!

Answer

You really shouldn’t be worrying about adding that small amount of calories to your diet, especially if you are only doing it say once or twice a day while cooking. The health benefits of olive oil outweigh adding a measly few hundred calories to your diet. You can literally burn that off in less than 30 minutes.

Answer

first of all, an omelette needs to be cooked in butter. and the omelettte pan that you are using will be well seasoned enough to be naturally non-stick. If you really think that 60 calories make a difference, go for a walk or have an orgasm.

Answer

If you have to manage double-digit calories that rub off on your food while you’re cooking in order to stay a healthy weight, it’s a sign you should get more physical activity.

You’d be trading off a half table spoon full of Vitamin E, polyphenols, and cholesterol-lowering, blood-sugar regulating, craving-managing compounds for calories that would be burned with a few minutes of brisk walking.
