I’ve started to eat healthier two months ago. Then I quit eating sugar and started to exercise in a small amount of time. I’ve lost about 14kg but I can’t say that I’m impressed in the mirror because I can’t see any difference. It doesn’t affect my motivation though. It’s my lifestyle and I really accepted it.
Yes, I feel a lot less heavy and it’s so much easier to move but shouldn’t those 14 kilos make so much more process in the mirror?
Sorry, I can’t share the pictures of me for reference because I didn’t take one at the beginning.

Edit: I’ve totally forgotten that I’m in the IF sub. I did 16:8.
Congrats on your success these first two months! That’s an impressive amount to lose in that time. You must be working hard and it’s paying off!
So a couple things on progress in the mirror.
When we first start losing weight this often comes from the fat that’s in and around our organs. This is really great from a health perspective, but doesn’t make for a dramatic change visually. Keep at it and eventually the body will get to fat stores elsewhere.
There’s also the aspect that we see ourselves day in day out. It’s actually harder for someone losing weight to notice changes than it is for folks who are familiar with you but don’t see you all the time.
Eventually you’ll start noticing little things, maybe a belt goes back another notch, a body part looks a little different, etc. I went through the same thing, but eventually you’ll hardly recognize yourself in a few more months.
