Magnesium citrate vs magnesium oxide

Hello all,
In every description and article I read it is mentioned magnesium citrate is better absorbed, so that is being preferred. What I can’t find is: how much better absorbed (what extent) the citrate, compared for example to magnesium oxide? Does that make a significant difference or it is neglectable?

Answer

The best forms are now combining citrate, glycinate, and malate, et cetera. Oxide is considered not great. It’s cheap with poor efficacy.

I recommend something like NOW citrate softgels, which have all three but not oxide. A bit more spendy but definitely worth it.
