Make regular 24 hours fasting while being disabled

I’m interested in fasting and especially a 24h one. Not just one but take one day here and there when I feel the need. I already did “fasting” without willing it because I suffer of schizotypal disorder (under control and I’m medically followed) so when I’m in a depressive mood I just don’t manage to maintain a healthy living and unfortunately I skip dinners because I can’t eat or I just don’t want to feel food inside me. So making regular 24h fasting (I mean for ex I eat at 7 pm then I’ll eat at 7 pm the next day) will allow me to learn self-discipline.

The main obstacle is that I have to take medecines (I’m more stable now than ever before so to stop taking the treatment is not even a question to me), but I wanted to know if taking these drugs make me break the fast ?

Moreover I drink chicory when I wake up, does it “cancel”/break the health benefits of fasting ?

I just don’t want to do useless or bad things.

Finally, I’d like to know if some of you are practicing this kind of 24h fasting as a lifestyle, I mean you only eat one time a day since many years, and have seen benefits on your physical health ?

Answer

Are there any guided meditations/affirmations that I can just passively listen to for healing? I’m too exhausted to do any “active” healing work.I actually have a recommendation. It’s a YouTube channel that has just what you are looking for, and i am hopeful that it will help you.
