Making fasting work when job means working shifts

Hi all, was just wondering of anyone here had any tips and tricks for surviving fasting when working shift work. I work either 13hr day shifts and 13hr night shifts, sometime both shift types in a week and am finding fasting particularly difficult to plan.

I would like to do a 18:6 type pattern but this will be a nightmare with my shift patterns, do I just bite the bullet and do 24hr fasts?

Thanks all

I work 13-14hr day shifts. I just fast during my shift and eat OMAD on work days. On off days I fast less, usually 16:8-18:6 type deal. I’ve been IFing almost Year and am much less “strict” with my timing. I just feel really great when I fast so it works for me at work to keep my energy up throughout the day.

I do 12 hour shifts, mostly 2 days then 2 nights then 4 off.

I tend to fast during work hours with some OMAD, and save my eating times for at home and socially. I find doing it this way helps keep my body guessing and gives me more freedom. Want my OMAD to be an awesome breakfast with friends? Great! Someone’s birthday so we are hitting the burger place for dinner on Friday? No problem. Family lunch with the in-laws coming up? Easy. It’s not for everyone, but it works for me.
