Aloha First off thanks to the tons of great posts here I have learned a lot , I have a meeting with dietician / nutritionist in a few days because I feel I’m probabaly ill informed about my fasting decisions Been fasting for couple a weeks now , 16/8 Basically stop eating at 8pm till next day noon , at times I stretch it longer , I’m doing it because I’m trying to lose fat , I’m fairly fit 200lb 6’0 42 yo, working out 4,5 times a week , and I just figured fasting is more sustainable and easy to accomplish then eating clean , So far I see some results , but god am I hungry in the am , Specially after I work out ( I can only work out in my fasting window ) I’m kind of lost as far as what should I ask present to her without sounding silly , I think if and other life choices are something that work for me if they are done in small tweaks and adjustments and that’s why it wasn’t a terrible route to take , but boy am I hungry . I do it for 6 days a week , and I eat very hefty when I’m in my feeding window . Mahalo
You mention fasting being easier/cheaper than eating clean which leads me to ask, what kinds of foods are you eating? If you’re eating higher carb or processed foods they tend to not be as satiating as lower carb and cleaner foods which can lead to that increased hunger in the mornings.
Did you ask her if she’s knowledgeable about fasting and if it’s something she supports?
I’m vegan. I eat almost exclusively what people call “clean”. It’s a very cheap way to eat. Have you tried it or are you simply parroting what you’ve read from people who don’t want to have to eat vegetables and give up their salty, greasy fast food?
