hey all, just wondering if anyone has noticed any changes in depression. Im using fasting to help with chronic pain, not my weight. Since I started on the 18:6 ive noticed my morning depression, which ive always had, has got significantly worse. im wondering is this just a teething issue and if i stick it out maybe things will balance out. anyone with any similar experiences? a little more info, i have a serious auto-immune disease that restricts my diet to mostly certain veg, fruit and organic fresh fish meat and eggs. so diet very healthy although very resticted
Fasting can increase your cortisol levels. If you’re skipping breakfast, maybe you could try moving your window earlier in the day and skipping dinner instead.
edit: I would agree that the effects on my mood were stronger when starting out, and have since leveled out.
