Metamucil

I just started drinking Metamucil for weight loss to help myself feel full and less hungry. I haven’t seen any benefits yet. Does anyone combine Metamucil and if? If so, how helpful is it and what’s your routine?

I do 16:8 with two meals, and athletic greens mixed with sugar free metamucil. The drink is used either end of the eight hours or when I’m skipping lunch. It just gives me something to fill the space between, and I assume is good for me.

I use plain old psyllium husks as an all natural unprocessed alternative to fill me up and add fiber. Sometimes mixed with water, sometimes mixed with flax seed meal and stevia as a hot cereal. I get my psyllium at Trader Joe’s.

I have 4 teaspoons of sugarless metamucil with protein and creatine once a day with my first meal (18-20 hr fast). Hasn’t made a difference to my pace of weight loss, but it has helped my cholesterol.

The Metamucil pills helped me increase my fiber intake and feel fuller during my fasting period! I do drink water to help with feeling full, but I also exercise 30 mins every day. My IF used to be OMAD, but I recently changed to 20:4. Lost about 17 pounds in 2-3 months! That’s just how it worked for me.
