I am coming out of a three day fast tomorrow and I intend to break it. I don’t have access to any of the ideal things to break a fast with, like apple cider vinegar or bone broth… but I do have some milk in my dorm room. Any other food ideas for a college student to break a fast with??
No. Definitely not milk. Milk has an extremely high insulin response.
Some people Iike to have a little broth or seeds or nuts about 1 hr before their main meal. Some people fell full after a few bites. I’ve never had a problem just eating whatever I want after an extended fast. My favorites are sushi and stir fry.
Just experiment and see what works well for you.
I like a Burger King bacon double cheeseburger without the bun, extra pickles and onions, and a pack of mayo and mustard.
It’s cheap and hits the spot for me. Lol.
If I’m feeling super healthy I’ll get a side salad and plop that on top of my burgers. (I’m talking the cheap dollar menu section… So it’s not a huge amount of food)
