my 3 day fast turned into a 2 day fast :/

This was my first attempt, I’ve been 24 hour fasting for about a week and very new to it all,, so I guess I shouldn’t be that upset with myself, but I’m still bummed. I could use some support and tips for next time I give it a go. I just got so hungry and I was drinking sparkling water.

The best tip I can give is to keep trying and give yourself patience. If you just started weight lifting, you wouldn’t expect to immediately step under the bar and bench 300. Fasting and discipline are muscles. Two days is great. I’m proud of you for knocking that out when you’re new to the game! You’ve achieved something, already, that most people could never see themselves doing.

Next fast, just try to beat your last time fasting. By an hour…by ten minutes, even. Maybe, if you’re motivated enough, a day! And remember–progress, not perfect. You’ll get there before you know it!

Answer

Two days is better than zero days! Fasting is hard. Keep at it and it’ll get easier.

Keep yourself busy so you’re not thinking about food. Pick up a diy project, study, yard work, whatever you want. Fasting can really help clear up brain fog for a lot of people so a fast can be a great time to work on a project that you really need to focus on, like an art or woodworking project. I don’t know what you’re into, but the extra clarity could be helpful for you with something.
