My experience with my first fast.

Sunday 8pm all I can eat crawfish and whatever else they had at the Chinese buffet it was glorious and I made my money back 3 fold. Typicall I’m on a strict keto diet but I love rice so why not splurge. Day 1 is work 12 hours of throwing boxes and no hunger play cool. Day 2 no hunger but I’m a thirst boi and drink near a gallon that day and occasionally get small pains in my stomach similar to a hair being plucked. Oh well life goes on. Went to the food pantry with the wife and seeing that jar of peanut butter broke my soul but I held back because I don’t need it. Day 3. Easy day nothing to tempt me just keep drinking water Day 4. At 4pm I broke it with Wendy’s after my wife expressed concern that I was looking pale so I decided to go ahead and eat breaking it. More for her concern then mine but it doesn’t faze them that much I did get a good buzz of glucose in my system so that was fun.

And after comparing weight I lost 10 pounds I’m down to 233 and I’m 6’2 and 23 so I only got 13 pounds left to burn but now I have 2 different ideas and would love some advice and different ideas

  1. I am considering 3 on and 3 off with fasting keeping my body on Keto at 1200-1500 calories.
  2. I have now realized what OMAD is and I’m debating it. But my concern is what I will be eating that will provide enough nutrients to eat and be healthy enough to survive.

3!!! Bonus: also I am all over when it comes to exercise, running, elliptical, stair master, and so on but I’m wondering what programs or stuff you all do? I’d like to keep my muscle and burn some loose skin if possible so if you have a good regime that you feel like would wreck my ass then send it to me. Hell it would be awesome to have 5 or 6 different people send me what they do in a day and I can do someone’s work out everyday putting my body into a shock then what I’ve been doing. Overall my goal is getting into the marines

  1. My wife freaks when I fast also. I’m currently on day 12, hoping for 30. I don’t know if SHE’LL make it. Hahaha
  2. Don’t eat fast food, even even Wendys
  3. You didn’t lose 10 lbs. The body carries 5-20 pounds of poop at all times. You lost poop, which you will gain right back, Also inflammation + water retention drops while fasting. You’ll gain that back too. Probably 3 pounds max lost.
  4. Pick whatever schedule you feel most comfy with. If it’s just for weight loss I think the 16-8 might be easiest and work best. Consistent schedule and consistent nutrition. If for health reasons most of the benefits don’t kick in until after 3 days so extended fasts with keto between is probably better. At least that’s my thought.
  5. Not really hard to get enough nutrients, again my opinion. We are programmed to believe we need to eat WAY more than we need. Calorie restriction prolong life.
  6. Don’t eat fast food. Hahaha
