I’m 16h into my first 72 as well, after completing my first 48 yesterday. Good luck to you!

Just don’t spend a second’s thought on your refeed meal until a few hours before you actually have it. That made my last 3 hour stretch way more difficult than it had to be.

The first three days are the hardest. Hunger disappears after that. Well worth it to continue a few days. Some people fast for three days every week so they suffer every week. Better to do six days one week and skip the next. Go to bed early. If you are sleeping, you won’t be hungry. Wake up early and use the extra time to do something different. Go for a walk or read or clean. You will be amazed at what you can do while the world sleeps. Plus staying busy keeps your mind off food. By the way, the first day is easiest because it is new. Take it day by day and drink a lot of water.

i’m 4 days in on a 7 day fast. 18yo 5’11 female went from 216 to 204 and my goal weight is 160-170 whatever looks and feels the best!

my tips are: after 2-3 days in you will start feeling like shit, nauseous, fatigued etc don’t over exert yourself at all. i got a few swims in on my first few days now i’m mostly laying in bed with moderate activity else i feel like absolute shite. try to stay in cold temperatures (air conditioned room or so) lying in the sun is a pass out recipe. mukbangs do help! i love watching people eat watermelon on youtube. but this may not work for low will power people. most importantly keep yourself distracted! if you ever feel super nauseous just lay down, close your eyes and put something cold on your forehead, thats what i do! most importantly think about your goals to keep yourself going.

as for refeed tips: take some baking soda (1/2tsp or so) in a cup of water and drink that before anything to cool off your kidneys, refill on your electrolytes! salt lemon and a touch of orange juice in seltzer is my favorite. i highly recommend to stay away from heavy carbs and sugars because they will make you ravenous and you will probably end up eating your cupboard and get a horrible case of the shits. (i speak from experience) i will be refeeding with meats eggs ghee and other pure fats like avocado or so (little to no carbs so i stay in ketosis) this and following a 30/70 protein fat ratio since i think 20/80 or 15/85 is a bit extreme and unnecessary.

goodluck!
