My first extended fast and sleep problems

I’m nearing the end of my first extended fast - will be at 46 hours when I eat tonight. I timed it so I’d only have one night of sleep after a whole day of not eating as I notoriously go through phases of bad sleep. Well it happened, I had a terrible sleep. Dozed for 2 hours, woke up. Awake for 2 hours, dozed again. I was considering taking my fast until tomorrow, making it a 60 hour fast, but my sanity can’t cope with that kind of sleep again! I have a lot of responsibilities at work and need to be well rested and on the ball.

Answer

Magnesium supplements helped me a ton! Though I’d be careful and get the smaller 250mg size as they are generally not recommended for empty stomachs. I slept like shit at the start of my fast, but then switched to Brain Forza Super Fast (don’t exactly recommend due to the price) and a mg supplement every morning. Now I sleep great, maybe even better than average. Currently on day 11 of my fast.
