Im a male, 33 years. Ive been IFing for about 2 weeks and ive yet to see any weight loss. Maybe its too soon to tell, but I feel maybe theres something im doing wrong.
Note that im not very overweight, im at 220 lb and just aiming to be under 200 lb. im 6’2. My goal is also to build a sustainable routine on the long term, so “hardcore” fasting isnt for me because i know i wont be able to maintain it for a long time.
Basically, i do the 16/8 version. I eat from 12 AM to 8 PM and fast from 8PM to 12 AM. when i can, i try to stretch fasting by 1 or 2h.
During eating period i eat as i normally would. Lunch is usually a sandwich and some vegetables, supper is usually chicken/salmon with rice and vegetables. but i also take a few treats in between like cookies or chocolate. alcohol a few times a week. Sometimes junk food like pizza or fries.
During fasting, its only black coffee or water.

Count your calories. I assume you’re burning 2200-2500 calories per day. So you’d have to consume less, say 1500-1750 for the same period of time and see if ypi see results
Also you might want to invest in a scale that measures body composition. Maybe you’ve lost a lb of fat and gained a lb of muscle.
8 hours of eating is too much if you want to lose bf. Try omad/23 and 1 instead….everytime you consume calories you spike your insulin levels which triggers your body to store fat. It’s better to eat your daily caloric needs in 1 sitting than to break it up over 8 hours.
