I’d like to share my supplement hoard with you guys. I was a vitamin freak before I started fasting, but I feel they are even more beneficial while I’m snaking. They give me the peace of mind that I’m getting plenty of nutrients despite only eating every three days, and I feel so much better on my fast days when I take them with my refeed.

Words of caution: do NOT take vitamins on your fast days. Vitamins might mess with your fast, and they will really upset your stomach if you haven’t eaten. SNAKE JUICE AND VITAMINS DO NOT MIX. I once had the clever idea to grind down and “dissolve” some of these vitamins into my snake juice…not only did many of the vitamins stay solid in the juice, the concoction tasted absolutely repulsive. I ended up vomiting the first 100ml about 10 minutes after drinking it.

Here’s my stack after 20+ years in the making:

Essentials: Vitamins that have a noticeable affect on my physical or mental wellbeing.

Good Stuff: Vitamins that I think work but could go without.

Add-Ons: Some of these are probably useless, but I take them anyway.

What am I missing? I’d love to hear from other supplement freaks about what I should consider adding to my stack.

Answer

Sorry for the neckbeard, but half of those aren’t vitamins. Some explanation would also go great along why taking them.

You could add magnesium unless you eat plenty of greens, since most are deficient. Other than that, something sports-specific could be added if you do that. Consider also cycling some like zinc, or just taking a week or two break sometimes. Minerals often rely on the same transporters, so always loading zinc may hinder or prevent ie. copper absorption.
