Nauseous while breaking fast

Currently doing 18-6, I’ve been feeling nauseous while I break fast. Any tips on how to control that. I often get food aversions while I’m eating. I’ll eat a few bites and immediately not want anymore a few bites after. Does anyone else experience this? If so, how do you control it?

Answer

What do you break with? How quickly do you eat the meal you break with? I was getting a little nauseous after eating, hypothesized it was because I’m eating too fast, on purpose ate slower today (about 3x slower), and didn’t get nauseous. You might try slowing down. You might try breaking with something light (e.g., a handful of nuts or a piece of fruit) and waiting 30-60m before eating a meal.

I’ve also experienced where you eat a few bites and aren’t hungry any more. I tried leaning into that for awhile and only ate when hungry, which led to me eating a half dozen bites of food every couple hours. I found it tedious to eat so often, so I tried eating a full helping despite not feeling hungry, which is working out all right for me. If I’m paying attention, I’ll stop eating once I feel an aversion to the food, which I figure is my body’s cue that it’s had enough.
