Answer

There’s different styles, but this was my method for starting:Started with a 14:10 (eat nothing for 14 hours:eat whatever for 10)Then added an hour to my fasting window whenever my current fast was easy. Currently up to 17:7, but occasionally fast longer if I’m feeling good.

I’ve found that a high protein meal at the end of my eating window really helps. While I’m waiting to break my fast, I drink water. Usually a full glass or can of seltzer can tide me over and reduce hunger for at least an hour.

Watching YouTube videos on fasting (particularly Dr. Fung) have helped teach me the health aspects rather than “just weight.” That helps to keep me going when the scale doesn’t seem to move.
