Need motivation and help

Hello,

I am 21 years old and 190cm (~6’3) tall, I used to weigh 160kg (~350 lbs). Today I weigh 120kg (~265 lbs).

However, I have been at my current weight for more than half a year. I did keto for about 2 weeks and dropped down to 110kg, but then I picked it back up to 115, and now after a bout of depression/sickness I went up to 120kg again.

I lift weights 5 times a week and try to do intermittent fasting 18:6, I also try to count my calories. Some days lately I just fail and eat out of order. The biggest problem are the weekends where I have beers with friends and again eat out of order afterwards.

I know how to, I just can’t figure out how to start again, I lost my discipline and I hate myself for it and it stresses me out so much.

Answer

Give yourself a break. It sounds like you have made amazing progress with yourself and you should be proud.

Try changing some things up. Move your eating times. If you want to drink socially drop the beer and try some other types of alcohol (carefully).

Your a constantly changing organism, so be afraid to try some new things and see when feels good.

Answer

On days you don’t do 18:6, what do you do? Maybe you could try a bigger window, 16:8? Master that few weeks and then shift? Small steps add up and small victories may be the motivation you need to be consistent. You got this!!!
