Need suggestion for my very sick mom

My mom is in her early 60s. She has type 2 diabetes, heart issue, gallbladder polyps, uterus pain, kidney pain and dark urine. We’re poor as hell, have no relatives, and our only options are fasting, drinking baking soda and apple cider vinegar. We’re from a corrupt third world country so government aid is out of the question. Hospitalization in our country costs a fortune so it’s also out of the question. My question is what type of fasting is best for her? Any suggestion would be appreciated.

Answer

Have her try longer & longer dry fasts and meditate. Fasting helps recycle diseased cells and regenerate new ones. Meditation helps heal mental & emotional aspects of ourselves that often are linked with the disease and poor health we experience.

I’m starting a dry fast today though the new year. Gotta burn off that karma.

Answer

Long water fasting, and very careful refeeds. You’d have to make nutritonally complete meals with what you have, and be very careful with picking the most digestible stuff. Dry fasting can easily become too much if you dive into it with serious issues. Long water fasting is also kinder to your budget. Dont forget salt.

I’d only dry fast in that situation if I had constant medical supervision. Theres just too much you dont know, and dont know you dont know. So the fear and very real issues that could come up would be too much of a problem for you to spot and deal with.

You can think about dry fasting again once the health has improved.

Can we assume that the Type 2 diabetes is caused because she is overweight? If so, she is perfect for fasting. Personally I think going dry first is a bit tough but everyone is different. I would get her fasting either dry or wet, whichever she finds easiest.

However if she has dark urine and kidney issues, then I would think water fasting would be the smarter option to keep her hydrated.

Answer

I know most people here are saying longer dry fasts, but I’d recommend just REALLY consistent 72 hour hard dry fasts. It is safer and you will yield much better results in the long term. Doing really long dry fasts takes a lot out of you and you need longer to recover.

If you can cure the obesity, that will cure the type 2 diabetes & heart issues. The other stuff may be cured as well, but I am not really sure. You are definitely in the right place though! Dry fasting is like a super power.

I appreciate all the suggestions, guys. It’s good to hear the suggestions from experienced fasters. I even made her read this thread so she knows how important it is having a clean diet and fasting. She’s now doing 24–48 hour fasting occasionally drinking water with 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda, 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar, and some Nu Salt for electrolytes. She’s not used to fasting though, and I’m hoping once she gets used to it and her condition improves and her diabetes heals, I might even make her dry fast. I now make sure she eats as clean as possible, no fried foods, no sugar, no carbs, no rice, no bread, no processed meats, etc. She now eats fruits and boiled foods like eggs, vegetables, and fish.
