I’m newer to body building and I’ve been taking protein powder with milk during/after my workouts for extra protein. The only problem is it taste terrible and I’ve tried water which tasted even worse and it’s hard for me to drink. Is there anything else I can try that would taste better?

Here a smoothie recipe.
 
###Healthy Peanut Butter and Jelly Smoothie
###29g protein / 260 cal
1 cup Plain, Nonfat Greek Yogurt
½ cup Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk
Low calorie sweetener of choice (allulose 2 tbsp)
25 Green Grapes
½ cup Peanut Flour
4 Ice Cubes
 
In a high-speed blender (I used my Vitamix), add the Greek yogurt, milk, sweetener and grapes.
Blend until you no longer see the grape skins.
Add the peanut flour and ice and blend until completely smooth.
Serve immediately or store in the refrigerator for later.
I think protein powders are too expensive for what they are; insulinogenic trick-label frankenstein food. Maybe have some kefir? Or smoked tinned fish.
Now - to be clear, insulin will help you build muscle so I guess go ahead; but if something more natural like meat or eggs is there, I recommend that. Or nuts, maybe. I don’t want to go into the reasons too much because it’s complex and honestly not really a big deal. But yuck.
