Hi folks, just posting to kinda kickstart myself back on a snake diet regimen. A while back I was able to do some 48s and 72s, but quickly kinda slide back into old habits. My relationship with food is something I desperately want to fix and I figure this is a good way to tackle that as well as weight loss.
I seem to do okay during the day/evening, night is the worst for me though - I have a hard time not snacking around 7/8 PM. Fortunately snacking has not entailed awful food per se (Keto; sunflower seeds/pork rinds) but it is still a habit I want to break, both from a personal discipline perspective as well as I know the extra calories and timing aren’t conducive to my weight loss goals.
For those who have struggled with similar, what are things you do to combat the habit/cravings? I’m suspecting I may have to change up my night routine entirely to try to help, need to do that anyway since I want to fix my sleep schedule. Good luck to all of you out there to achieve your goals!
I started knitting. Learned by watching YouTube videos. For me, I ate when I was bored and in the evenings watching TV alone isn’t enough. Knitting keeps my hands busy. Hard to stuff food in my face with no hands. Plus, it was something I always wanted to do. Find a hobby that keeps your hands and brain busy. Whatever interests you. Bad habits take time to break so ideally the new hobby will require new skills. Distracting you from snack time by requiring your focus. Years later knitting isn’t much of a challenge. I think I could do it in my sleep but it still keeps my hands busy and I enjoy it.
Find a meal delivery service and eat those on your refeeds. This helped me remove my bad food habits. It also removes thinking about what to eat because when you do that you think “hmm what sounds good for dinner?” lol know what I mean. You can meal prep at home too but putting those things in the microwave helps remove all the BS
