No. 5’7” isn’t petite. But 118 is about the lowest weight I say a person 5’7” should get to. That’s a BMI of 18.5, which is already pretty Low. Intermittentfasting for weight loss at your size is not recommended. I’m a fan of it for health benefits & if you decided to eat a nutritious variety of food in adequate amounts, 16:8 or 15:9 should be the max you should do. I may get downvoted but imo for normal weight people 16:8 is not really even IF. I say BMI of 23-18, yes, I know in USA it’s 25 bmi but in Japan normal weight is considered 18-23bmi & tbh i feel best at 20bmi, so I’m using Japanese standards. Anyway, IMO, for people 23-18bmi I don’t really consider 16:8 as IF, it’s just a maintenance lifestyle. At 17, 18 I was 116 lbs (I know bc in Sr. health class we had to make a chart project thing), & I still thought my thighs were too jiggly. Really though, there’s no need to lose any weight at your size. 115 would be the lowest safe weight to height ratio for you. Idk if you are already missing periods but when my BMI was that low I only had 3 periods a year - which was great (I wasn’t having sex so Even though I missed periods I wasn’t thinking I was pregnant). I was a lifeguard, athletic. Imo you’re probably more concerned about your size than your weight - your volume vs your mass if you will. Please accept that your body is marvelous & can do amazing things. If anything, focus on weight training & yoga to keep it strong & flexible. Please eat.Edit: I’m 5’7 too. And was 116 at your age. Fwiw, at age 26 I was 125lbs & actually a smaller size bc way more muscle & in much better shape than I was even while lifeguarding ages 17-19.
Your metabolism may have slowed down, which could explain why you’re not losing weight even though you are eating less.
