New to IF

Hi, I need some advice. I have been doin IF for three days and gained half a pound. I made sure that I did not overeat. Has this happened to anyone else?

Body weight actually fluctuates a lot, most due to water weight being affected by a number of factors. So weight loss is rarely straight down.

You’ve only been at it three days, so that’s not a lot of time for the body to have used much fat and it would be easy for a bit of water to been covering that. I would give it a full week first before getting concerned, and you may want to consider weighing less frequently.

How do you feel? I’ve found it best to go off that for the first few weeks and then weighing in. The longer you go the better you’ll feel, and your weight will adjust accordingly. Be proud for taking the step forward and enjoy the process :)

I have seen some tremendous results posted on here from IF. My preference is to do 2 days water fast once weekly.I have combined this with about and hour of exercise every morning as well as eating a bit healthier (I seldom eat junk like burgers or pizza).Still….I like beer and have still gone from 225 (I’m 58M 5’9”) to 184 in 8 months.
