I started IF last week kind of by accident. Started thinking about my personal electrolyte needs and how I reach for food when I >>probably<< just need electrolytes. Mixed up a concoction in my kitchen, chugged and BOOM! No hunger. So I decided to fast for 17 hours. Then I did that for a few days. Seeing the scale drop .50-1lb per day was really encouraging.
I started looking deeper into fasting. Including dry fasting (I’m worried about loose skin and also have beardruff). So I went 12 hours into a water fast, then switched to a hard dry fast for 19 hrs. 31 hours without calories, 33 hours without food.
I loved how EASY it was. My old water fasts (prior to my electrolyte concoction) were really hard. I was tired, keto flu was a bitch, my muscles ached, and I was constantly hungry.
I broke my fast last night and decided not to weigh myself before eating. I don’t really care how much I weigh with my glycogen depleted and my digestive system empty. After a heavy meal, I had a total loss of 8lbs. 8lbs in 7 days works for me. Especially considering how EASY it was.
I’m 16 hours into another dry fast (unplanned) and I’m peachy. Probably going to eat before my bowling league tonight.

Tl;dr Did a combo water/dry fast plus IF. Lost 8lbs. Rinse Repeat.

Seems like this schedule really suits you! Congrats on the 8lb.
It is typically recommended you dry fast first, and then water fast, not the other way around. I find that afte even 48h of a dry fast, the subsequent water fast is so much easier.
I typically fast for 7-10 days total, and my first 2-4 days are dry. Then I transition to water.
Good luck! Enjoy it! I love fasting and I always look forward to my fasts.
