Nexplanon birth control stalling weight loss!

I’ve been intermittent fasting for the past 2 months (17hr-21hr ish per day), my “natural weight” is about 181-183 lbs and I’m a 5’7 26 y/o female. I started at about 188 but that was actually water weight, and within a week i lost the water weight and was at 183 lbs which i was happy about. I got the nexplanon implant about 4 months ago, i was alittle nervous because I’ve heard of women experiencing weight gain, BUT I used in the past and didn’t experience any weight gain. This time around though I noticed alot of bloating as well as the usual symptoms of low sex drive, and some vaginal dryness, irregular periods that lasted about the first 2 months then those symptoms subsided. So here’s the thing, my weight stays at 183 lb no decrease at all, it worries me because in the past when I did IF (fast for about 17-21 hr a day depending) i was able to melt weight right off, like i could lose 15 lbs in 2 weeks with little to no physical activity. NOW I go to the gym regularly do most medium cardio 40 minutes minimum about 4-5 days a week and fast eating clean (some splurge days) but usually eat clean with cleaner complex carbs but my weight week after week stays at 183lb. Now I’m happy I’m not gaining BUT I really want to lose and I can’t help but to think its the nexplanon. I’m considering getting it removed and getting the copper IUD, but have heard of women having issues with that as well, not weight issues because its not hormonal but yeast infections (im prone to them, but fasting and clean eating rid me of them) and how painful the insertion is. Its just so frustrating working out and seeing no change at all, body looks alittle different but not really. What do you think? The nexplanon side effects are completely gone and it’s effortless i dont have to worry about taking a pill and all but i want to lose weight. What do you think? Should i maybe take it out or stick with it a few more months. And just fast harder.

Had a similar issue with nuvaring so I got a copper IUD. No hormones, no effort, no worry. Most insurance covers it (I’m in the US). Been a great experience so far other than a couple heavy periods, would highly recommend.

I had a similar issue with the mirena, now I’m using the copper iud. It’s my second one, I got one after each of my kids. It’s great, I don’t have any symptoms besides some long periods. If you haven’t had kids it could be painful, but even then it goes away after a day.

Edited to add - the kids were on purpose 😉 the iud works!
