No Muscle recovery after 45 hours into a 100 hour fast

I started my fast on Friday at 11:30 am, I went to the gym and trained legs on Friday around 5 pm. It’s currently 7 am on Sunday and my calves are incredibly sore to the point where it takes me a really long time to just walk around the house.

I only had water since the beginning of the fast. And also one cup of water with a little Himalayan pink salt. Am I doing anything wrong?

My legs were sore yesterday too but not as bad as today

I don’t know why everyone here is telling you to just take electrolytes! I’ve found that fasting and lifting do not mix. I do not fast on days that I’m still recovering from lifting. Your muscles cannot repair themselves without food.

Same experience here. I did like 4 miles of running right when I started a fast. After two days of fasting I tried running again and I was just exhausted. But after I ate again man could I run

So yeah, growth hormones increase during a fast, but thats just instructions to grow and rebuild tissue. But without the raw materials you can’t do that until you start refeeding (again, just to reiterate that must be done sloooowly)
