Your good. 80-100 is normal range. I got checked 18hrs into a fast and was at 87.
Aside: The nurse told me to go the next day so I’d be fasted for bloodwork. Laughed in her face. Said I’m always fasted. Went straight from my appt.
Yeah, my blood sugar can be in the 90s at that point too. It gets into the 70s at about 24 hours fasting.
It’s very normal for your blood sugar to stay in the “normal fasting” range. It should, actually. You don’t want it to drop into the hypoglycemic range (sub-60). Your body stores plenty of glucose in your liver and muscles and will release it from storage to keep your body fueled, not to mention burning fat. This is the point of IF — use up that stored fuel.
Your body regulates its sugar to keep it in a normal range when you’re healthy. The glucose level during fasting is from glucose stores in your body. If your glucose was low, you would not be feeling so well…
