Noob Question - Swing Shift IF

I’m in a bit of a plateau in my fat loss journey. I’ve been at the same body fat % and weight for a little over a month. In that time my work schedule has changed to working 4:00PM-12:30AM. I get up at 6:30 to get the kids off to school and have things to do all day.

My problem is that I feel a need to eat constantly. I think I’m going to fast till about noon and do a 16/8. Is it going to be problematic to fast through the morning like that?

If I try to fast through my work shift, I struggle to avoid constantly snacking and end up eating more than I would otherwise.

Answer

For me, it helps me fast in the morning because that’s when I’m the most busy. It takes my mind off eating when I have things to do. Also, sleeping can help push back a fast too.

I think that the switch to fasting in the morning might be difficult, but once your adjusted it’ll be okay.

Answer

Eat a lot more healthy fat and a lot more protein during your meals. If that means you need to cut out carbs to make room for that, then by all means do so. Stick with that for even just a couple days, and poof — bye bye hunger
