I have been doing OMAD 22/2 or 23/1 and occasional 20/4 since 10th of october and i am not losing anything.
I tried calorie counting in december, 1400kcal and then gained 2kg during that.
Im 164 cm tall and i weigh 86kg.
Ok I did a quick check of your stats. To lose weight at your height and weight, you need to eat 1374 calories a day. This is with no exercise and is only an estimate. This is also to only lose 1 pound a week. You’re short (me too. I’m 5 ft 0 in). So you get less calories. I lost about 120 lbs. I ate very low carb, not quite keto low (less than 40 net carbs a day). I measured and weighed every bit of food. Most people severely underestimate how many calories they are eating. So make sure you get a food scale and be meticulous about weighing and measuring your food. I still IF usually 18:6. Then I workout everyday but when I was losing weight, I did not eat back my calories. I ate 1300 calories a day and again, I was super careful about it. Keep in mind that carbs will cause you to hold onto water weight. So my advice:
I was also not loosing weight or the scale staying the same which I didn’t feel I was going anywhere. I started to fast for more than 36 hrs. And I started dropping on the scale. Therefore I recommend a 36-48 hr fast once a week, if and when you can.
Did I do mine correct? It says to lose 1 pound a week about a 1000 calories. If I want to lose 2 pounds a week 500 cal. I am 60f. 5’1” CW 143. Trying to get to 125 or less. I am small framed. Any help would be appreciated.
I read some book and will research this following fact again to confirm but if anyone knows and can give further info if they have that:“When we begin fasting, our body is taking care of our organs, internal health, fixing things. Our body’s top priority is not to lose weight but fix our internal systems and keep them in working/optimal function. Once ur body has healed the weight will fall of in a healthy way.. I would remind myself of this and stick to fasting on days and weeks I saw no visible improvement but overal in a 100 days I have seen weight loss”
I hope this helps!
Are you sure you were eating 1400 calories? How were you counting? If you are eyballing and guessing, I can almost guarantee you are overeating. Fasting isn’t a magic bullet, it’s just a tool that gets you to eat less. But it’s still possible to overeat.
I dont really exercise, just walking 10k steps a day.
Calories in december were between 1200-1400 and i tracked everything with a kitchen scale.
I dont like sweet things, and i eat lower carb, about 50grams a day.
