Not losing weight on fasting? I am 50 pound overweight have been water fasting and dry fasting for a month but the scale wont budge, I thought my bipolar medications were the reason but my doctor changed them. Anyone has any idea? I am thinking of just going back to keto.

This storyline makes no sense. But I’ll just say it’s not usually advised to take medicine and fast at the same time.Learned my lesson when I fasted for 2 weeks and then took some cold medication. Ended covered in pustules. If your story is indeed true, which I doubt, I would take a look at your medication. I also saw in your other post that you eat a lot of carbs. Big no no if you fasted because of the change in your insulin sensitivity. Slowly had carbs, don’t just go all in.Good luck.

Answer

Do not eat too much salty food when breaking the fast because salt will make you retain water and the body does not like much salt after prolonged fasting.

Also make sure to introduce food slowly after long fasts
