Recently I found out that counting macros are essential for the body especially protein but should not be sole focus of your diet. Focusing on eating more nutritious foods like fruits and vegetables (nutrients per calorie)to complete the daily nutritional requirement is more necessary. The conundrum here is that if you focus on nutritional foods(fruits, vegetables, lentils, nuts) you might not be able to hit your macros as these foods are high in fiber which reduces hunger.
What are your thoughts on this?? Focus on eating healthy nutritional foods but at the cost of being caloric deficit or hit macros but indulge in overeating??
This is one if the most interesting videos I watched on this topic https://youtu.be/Dt4Pb5Khq3k
Good question 😊
If you’re goals are related to muscle building, you do need to eat a lot 😁 Vegetables and Protein become your main focus, if I’m right.
Otherwise, the optimum portion would be, half your plate with fruits/veggies, 1/4th protein, 1/4th whole grains, an appropriate amount of monosaturated oils/foods (can’t remember exact suggestion), a tbsp or two of saturated fats from time to time.

Blending is actually an easy way to get what we need, since it’s always easier to drink food than eat it, even the same macro amounts
