Nutrition Label says 8g of sugar, but only 15 calories. Is it lying?

I was buying Hoisin sauce and noticed a label (Lucky Foods Organic Hoisin Sauce) that said it had 9g of carbohydrates (8g of sugar) per 1Tbsp serving (8g of sugar), but at the top of the label is said 15Cal. I can’t post a picture, but there didn’t appear to be any artificial sweeteners in the box (ingredients #2 and #3 are sugar haha). I’m not getting it, but this just bothered me - is there something about nutrition labels I don’t understand? 9g of carbs * 4Cal/g-carbs = 36 Calories at least…

I looked at it online and the nutrition appears incorrect (not seeing any sugar alcohols or other non-nutritive sweeteners). Either the carb and/or sugar content is incorrect or the calories are incorrect
