Oh, god. Hunger!

I’m on day 5 of a 7 day fast. And this is the first time I’ve felt actual hunger. And it is intense! It probably doesn’t help that I’m back at work and everyone is eating around me. Plus, I work in a city and walk by lots of delicious food places.

Fasting for weight loss, so I’m hanging in. Pray for me!

EDIT: JUST REALIZED I’M ON DAY 6!!!

UPDATE: I broke my fast at 6 days last night at 9 PM, and I feel fine about it. I woke up this morning with no weight gain and I am going to jump back into short fasts tomorrow.

You’ve got this. I totally understand the temptation. But it’s probably more of a mental craving than anything. I found that watching videos of people speed eating during my last fast helped curve my cravings so much. Watching someone cram down 5 burgers in under 2 minutes, can actually be pretty unappetizing. Lol

Answer

Make sure when you break the fast, do it properly with electrolyte and liquid food first.

And for your first few meals after you break the fast, stuff yourself with vegetables and fruits first, then eat protein/fat and carbs if you are eating any. This way, you won’t go overboard with the calorie intake.

For best result, cut back on the carb intake, refeed and go on another fast. Good luck!
