Oh, how I love that "advice"

In my series of short rants, welcome to my next installation: “What, you’re not eating breakfast? That’s unhealthy! Breakfast is the most important meal of the day!” Coming from the mid-40s aged guy at the office, who has a massive beer belly (my guess: fatty liver) and wears a glucose monitor to check his levels after having lunch.

Thank you kind person, for reminding me to whom not to listen to. That is all.

My favourite was when someone told me a long story about a friend who did IF and lost a bunch of weight. Then she found out she actually had cancer. So not sure if she was insinuating that the IF caused the cancer or that the only way she lost weight was because she was sick. But I have been asked if I was sick multiple times. The funny thing is not once was I asked if I was sick when I was gaining weight and drinking heavily. It is funny what sone people see as sick in this world. I just laugh because I know I am healthier then I’ve been in years.

I love breakfast foods, but only between 7-8pm during my window. Someone I work with has been all up in my business because I don’t want office pizza 3x a week. Or company ordered pasta lunches. I don’t understand why people comment on what others are or aren’t eating.

He’s just parroting something that we’ve been told so many times throughout the years and he’s concerned about his metabolism if he’s using a glucose monitor. Don’t forget that even though we believe in IF most people don’t really understand it. Hard to take though if you’re not the kind of person that pushes their beliefs on others. He seems like someone that could benefit from IF though so maybe you could gently direct him to some good information.
