Whenever healthy fats are talked about, it is usually avocados, nuts, nut butters, avocado oil, seeds, eggs, fatty fish, yoghurt, heck even olive oil. But no one seems to talk about just… straight up olives?
Is it because they’re actually not a healthy source of fat? Or the taste? What is it? Are they actually a healthy fat?
I am one of the few people from Croatia that thinks olives are healthier than the oil.
Olive oil is huge in my country. People make a living out of producing it.
It’s mostly Mono so it’s super efficient for fat-loss and healthy at the same time.
Still, I think straight olives are a notch above. How could it not ?
Is macadamia nut oil healthier than straight up macadamias ? I don’t think so.

Olives definitely deserve more hype since they’re high in oleic acid which is a healthy fat, plus other nutrients and antioxidants. I personally think they’re great for salads and snacking.
