OMAD + CICO (1400 cal) for 11 days and have lost 9 lbs - WTF?

… and I am not hungry ! Is it that easy ?? Other benefits: * to not have to think or stress about a diet - the clock tells me when to eat. This huge for me ! * having a waaay easier time choosing nutritious foods, when I know it is my only meal. Weird how that works. * 1400 calories is a LOT of food, specially when you are eating healthy * no cravings, no hunger * I only eat one meal with my family anyway - so being able to eat normally with them, makes this so doable and easy to see myself sticking to long term.

Answer

Probably about half of that is water weight and poo. Lol. When you start fasting you lose a lot at first because of that.

Likewise. If you fall off the horse and have a couple of binge or “cheat” days, you will see the scale jump up a lot. But don’t get discouraged! Congrats on your progress!

Edit: also, yes, fasting is that easy. If it works for you, it will continue to work! Woo hoo!

Congratulations!

I find myself binging during my OMAD. That’s the only issue. Plus I am a flight attendant and when I don’t sleep right from flying, I tend to eat poorly. During my meal period I consume 1500 cal all at once and can’t stop eating. This isn’t really healthy. So I have to make a few changes.

Answer

assuming your tdee is 2200…
that’s about 800 calories deficit, 800*11= 8800
8800/3500=2.51 lbs
So, you’ve lost about 2.5 lbs of fat, the other 6.5 lbs is just water weight.
Anyways, that’s still big progress. keep at it, and you’ll drop them pant size.

Yup this is so easy isn’t it! Not sure OMAD is the best long term. I’m eating breakfast at 11 and then dinner at 6 and it’s just been a great schedule for me. I love this and I never feel like I ever need a cheat day. I just have no desire at least right now. Great job!
