Curious to what others have tried and experienced. I’m currently doing OMAD trying to lose weight. I’m also combining this with weight training about 5/6 days a week. Little to no cardio. I’ve read how the OMAD diet can slow your metabolism and may lead to muscle loss also contributing to the slowing of metabolism. Obviously my concern is having a slow metabolism can adversely affect weight loss and energy levels. I won’t ramble on from here. Thanks.
I’ve been doing OMAD for almost 2 years now with extended fasts on occasion. No muscle loss (there have been gains instead), and no negative effects on metabolism and energy (on the contrary, I have more energy when my body is not working all day to process and digest food). I just make sure I eat unprocessed nutritious food, and train daily.
